Travel insurance

When you are on vacation, the belongings that you take with you in your luggage are not covered on your household contents insurance. Therefore it is very important to take out a continuous travel insurance if you go on vacation more then once a year. Loss of luggage by theft or because it gets lost at an airport are covered for example.

Another reason to take out travel insurance is the fact that medical costs can be very different from the Dutch standard costs in other countries. To make sure you don't have to pay a large part yourself you can insure medical costs on the travel insurance.  Especially if you enjoy wintersports like skiing or snowboarding travel insurance is indispensable.

Also important is the cancellation insurance, in case you are not able to go on your planned holiday because you or a family member are ill for example.
